He was retired from Northern Arizona University. Services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at Christians Saint Baptist Church with Rev. W.C. Thomas, officiating. Interment followed in Webster Cemetery near Trout under direction of Hixon Brothers Inc. of Jena. Survivors include his wife, Richlin Wright of Flagstaff; a son Keith Wright of Jena; three daughters, Shonna B. Simmons of Jena, Valerie Wright and Vernita Wright Nelson, both of Flagstaff; three step-daughters, Tammy Benton, Shovonda Benton and Rachel Benton, all of Flagstaff; four brothers, Robert Mcakey, Jessie Wright and James Wright, all of Jena; four sisters, Laura Hunter, Mathael Parkman, Kathanner Wright and Veronica Wallace, all of Jena; and four grandchildren. Pallbearers were John Dangerfirld, Wayne Bell, Solomon Coleman, Jerry Wallace, Charles Dorsey and Robert Wallace. Honorary pallbearers were Jessie Wright, Jimmy Wright, Bill Hunter, maurice Hunter, Keith Wright and Richard Wright.
