He was a retired plumber and veteran of World War I. Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the chapel of Hixson Brothers Inc. in Jena with Dr. R. C. Hammock, officiating. Burial followed at Hurricane Creek Cemetery with arrangements by Hixson Brothers Inc. of Jena. Survivors include a half-brother, Hardy Walker of Delhi and a half-sister, Mrs. Martha Brow of Waco, Texas and a host of neices and nephews. Pallbearers were Judge Clyde Russell, Andrew Windham, John McCarthy, Bill Appleby, Don Chapman and Cecil Ray Thompson.
