He was the son of Mr. And Mrs. J.L. Watson, and was born and reared in LaSalle Parish. John Loyd Watson is survived by his parents, Mrs. And Mrs. J.T. Watson of Olla, three brothers, Charlie of Rosefield; Hugh of Olla and Jewel a student of La. State Normal; four sisters, Mrs. Ethel Hodge of Kelly, Mrs. Roy Westbrook of Nichols, Mrs. Jessie Jackson of Nichols and Miss Mae Watson of Olla. Funeral services were held at the Nichols Baptist Church, November 4, with Rev. Jesse J. Allbritton, pastor of the Midway Baptist church, officiating. Interment was under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla in the Aimwell cemetery.
