Date: October 3, 2001, Wednesday Headline: Area Deaths – Archie Lee Whatley Archie Lee (Lee Boy) Whatley, 72, of Nebo, died at 7:30 a.m., Friday, September 28, 2001. He had worked for Hunt Petroleum Oil Company. Services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 29, in the First Mount Nebo Baptist Church with the Revs. Gary Norris and Scotty Guillot officiating. Interment followed in the Nebo Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include his wife, Maxine Dausat Whatley of Nebo; two daughters, Sandy Ratcliff of Belah and Karen Creel of Belah; two sons, Gary Whatley and Paul Whatley, both of Nebo; one brother, James David Whatley of Nebo; one sister, Lena Thompson of Nebo; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ricky Shirley, Danny Joe Ratcliff, Keith Hudnall, Marty Cooper, Chuck Chevallier, Travis "Wacker" Pritchard, Carlos Hudnall, and Buron Gray. ========== ------------- WHATLEY, Inez ------------- Submitted by: Unknown Address:Unknown Date of Submission: Unknown Source: Monroe News Star Date: September 3, 1985 Jena-Services for Mrs. Inez Whatley, 86, will be at 2 p.m. today at Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home chapel in Jena with Rev. S. B. Spinks officiating. Burial will be in Nolley Cemetery in Jena. Mrs. Whatley died Sunday at LaSalle General Hospital in Jena. She was a housewife and a member of Eden methodist Church.
