All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** William Thomas Yule Of Nebo, Dies April 4 ** see note** William Thomas Yule, who lived most of his lifetime at Nebo, died at his home about 11 a.m. last Thursday, April 11, 1946. Mr. Yule was well-known throughout his home community having farmed there for many years prior to his death. He was 65 years of age at the time of his demise, having been born Feb.6, 1881 in Catahoula Parish. The deceased was the don of Thomas Yule, who immigrated to this country from Scotland, Bertha Remington whom he married after settling in Louisiana. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 1946, at Nebo Baptist Church. Rev. Moreland Doughty, pastor of Midway Baptist Church, conducted services. Internment was in Nebo Cemetery. Survivors of the deceased are: two sons, William L., Booneville, Mo., Knight, of the U.S. Army; three daughters, Mrs. Della Paul, Nebo, Mrs. Nannie Gray, Pollock, Mrs. David Roark, Summerville; a brother, James Yule, Nebo; and two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Allen and Mrs. May Clarkson, both of Nebo. Pallbearers were: Fletcher Clarkson, Dave Yule, Ed yule, Jack Allen, Fred Allen, James Morgan. Hixson Bros. Conducted funeral arrangements. ** Note** Title states April 4th as death date, while article states April 11th. From the date of burial I believe the April 11th date to be correct.
