Effie Lee Polk King
Born in Birchtree, Missouri on Septmeber 16, 1891. She came here in the late
1800's. Married Walter Benjamin King in 1909 in Vernon Parish, La.. They
made their home in Jena after the death of Walter's father, Benjamin. She
died in Jena, La. on February 18, 1979 and is interned in the Nolley
Memorial cemetery with her husband, Walter B. King.
