BREWER - DEAN
   Mr. and Mrs. Michael Brewer of Bossier City, proudly announces
the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Lynn Brewer to James Tyler
Dean, son of Mr and Mrs. Jimmy Dean of Jena. The couple is planning a January
wedding. The wedding will be held at Bellaire Baptist Church in Bossier City.
The bride-elect is a Registered Nurse at Willis Knighton South in Shreveport.
The future groom is employed with Bossier Parish as a computer programmer.

PENTECOST - PAUL
   Charles and Mary Pentecost of Manifest would like to announce
the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Tina Lynn
Pentecost, to Justin Allen Paul, son of J.L. and Jeannie Paul of Nebo.
   The couple will exchange wedding vows on Friday, Nov. 14, 1997 at 7:00
p.m. at Pisgah Baptist Church in Manifest with Rev. Gary Wagoner
officiating.
   The bride-to-be is the maternal granddaughter of Clifford and Jennie
White of Jonesville and the paternal granddaughter of the late Walter and
Lizzie Pentecost formerly of Manifest.
   The groom-elect is the maternal grandson of Huey and Violet Smith of
Nebo and the paternal grandson of Marie Paul and the late Willie Paul also
of Nebo.
   The bride is a 1997 graduate of Harrisonburg High School. The groom is
a 1993 graduate of Jena High School and is currently employed by Helmerich
and Payne Drilling.
   After their marriage, the couple will make their home in Nebo.

TOMLINSON - HARRELL
   Mr. and Mrs. Tim Tomlinson of Jonesville, would like to announce
the approaching marriage of their daughter, Amanda Lynn Tomlinson to Casey
Dean Harrell, son of Walter Harrell of Aimwell and Janie and Randy Tullos of
Jonesville.
   The couple will exchange wedding vows at 7 o'clock on Saturday, November
15, 1997, at Good Road Pentecostal Church with Rev. Bryan Taylor
officiating the ceremony.
   A reception will be held at the fellowship hall immediately following
the ceremony.
   The bride-to-be is the maternal granddaughter of Mr.& Mrs Ethelbert Paul of
Jonesville. She is the paternal granddaughter of Mrs. Alpha Ford of
Jonesville and the late Rev. Paul Tomlinson.
   The groom-elect is the maternal grandson of Rocky Ford and Margerie
Charrier of Jonesville. He is the paternal grandson of the late Joe and Odell
Harrell of Jonesville.

ROWELL - SKINNER
  Miss Latisha Christene Rowell and Mr. Robert Matthew Skinner were united
in marriage on Friday, the seventeenth of October, nineteen hundred and
ninety-seven, at seven o'clock in the evening with the Rev. John Norwood of
Urania officiating. The ceremony took place at Pinehill Baptist Church in 
Olla. 
  Latisha is the daughter of Tammy Evans of Olla and Terry Rowell of
Winnfield. She is the granddaughter of Alvin Ramsey of Chatham and the late
Myrtle Ramsey and T. J. Rowell of Jena and the late Opal Rowell.
  Matt is the son of Linda and Teddy Goodman of Urania and the late Mickey
Skinner. He is the grandson of Mildred Wilson of Oakdale and the late
Millard Wilson and also the late Herman and Ruby Skinner.

  Sawyer Hatten and Michael Lincecum, Jr. would like to announce
their upcoming marriage.
  Sawyer is the daughter of Adolph and Berdie Tarver of Columbia and the late
D.H. Kelly.
  Michael is the son of Mike and Sue Lincecum of Tullos.
  The wedding will be held on Saturday, November 22, 1997 at New Union
Baptist Church of Tullos.
  The ceremony will be performed by Bro. Tommy Hollis.

in Monroe.

and Mrs. Audrey Miles and the late Milton Miles, all of Jena.
  The future bride-groom is the son of Bobby and Carolyn Swanner of
West Monroe; and the grandson of Louis Tyson and Ethelle Swanner, both of
West
Monroe and and Batson Davis and the late Edris Davis of Mobile, Ala.
