 Amy Michelle Stephens and Gregory Franklin Wood, both of Coppell, Texas,
were married at sunset on August 11, 1997, in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
 Their parents are Iris Burleson of Irving, Texas and Mr. and Mrs. Michael
Stephens of Shreveport and Mr. and Mrs. George S. Wood of Lake Kiowa, Texas.
 Amy is the granddaughter of Lottie and Ira Jordan and Vi and Steve Stephens
of Shreveport, also great-granddaughter of the late Minnie and Silvanus
Sumrall and the late Ida and Robert Jordan of Tullos.

Angela Clare Courville and Jerry Dewayne Richards the afternoon of
August 9, 1997.
 The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Courville of Opelousas
and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Seale of Eunice and Mrs.
Alice Courville and the late Houston Courville of Opelousas.
 The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry W. Richards of Olla and
grandson of Ms. Reba Jones of Rhinehart and Mr. and Mrs.Vernon Starnes
of Olla.

Velerin Tarver and the late Roy Tarver of Holum and Lois Clarks and the late
Fred Clark of Jena.

 Amy Hughes and Erik Schultz, both of Urania, will be married on October 3,
1997 at the Urania Methodist Church.
 Amy is the daughter of Ms. Barbara Hughes and grandaughter of Mrs. Avis
Simons, both of Urania.
 Erik is the son of Barbara Haynes of Vidalia and Douglas Schultz of Urania.
He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schultz of Urania, Aleen Gladin
of Columbia, and great-grandson of Mrs. Ruby Walsworth of Columbia.

ALDRICH (50th ANNIVERSARY)
 Lecil and Odell Aldrich of Urania celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary
with a dinner at Ginny's Restaurant in Jena September 13, 1997. They were
married September 27, 1947 in Clarks, La. They have 2 daughters and 1 son:
Delores Ganey of Rosenburg, Texas, Brenda McGee of Jena, and Steve Aldrich
of Olla. They are blessed also with 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
