Jones. The following format is used: date-day of week-entry-weather entry JANUARY, 1944 1 - Sat - Sawed some wood & hauled wood - rainy 2 - Sun - Staid home - some rain 3 - Mon - Went to Shell Plant for work - fair 4 - Tue - Worked at Shell Plant on 4pm to 12 shift - fair 5 - Wed - Worked - fair cool NOTE: This is the end of his diary and we wonder why he quit after 18 years of continuos records. He always made his entries after supper each day. On January 3, 1944 he started to work at the Shell plant at Minden, La. For this he left home at 2pm and did not get home until about 2 am. This was interruption of his regular schedule and I assume for this reason he quit the diary. Calvin B. Jones
