 Ruston Caligraph:  John Strother, a citizen of ward six, was found dead in
the public road one mile north of Kimbletown Tuesday morning.  He had been
waylaid and shot by some unknown person with a shot gun in the head and
breast.  Mr. Strother has been a citizen of the parish five or six years,
coming here from Georgia.  Sheriff Howard will now have an opportunity to
try his hand at a little detective work.  From what we learned yesterday no
clue had been obtained as to the perpetrator of the foul deed.
