MITTIE AMBROSE Died Monday, August 20, 1956 Funeral Services for Mrs. Mittie Ambrose, 85 (born September 14, 1870) of Shreveport will be held at 10 a.m Wednesday, August 22, 1956 at Sibley Alabama Presbyterian Church near Choudrant. Burial will be in the Alabama Presbyterian Cemetery, Sibley, Louisiana. She died at the home of her daughter Mrs. J. E. Norris in Shreveport, Louisiana at 11:45 p.m. Monday, August 20, 1956. Mrs. Ambrose was a resident of Lincoln Parish for 75 years but head lived in Shreveport for the past 10 years. She was preceded in death by her husband: Warren Ambrose b. February 6, 1869 died July 15, 1934. Survivors include four daughters: Mrs. J. E. Norris of 2717 Stonewall Street, Shreveport, La., Mrs. W. S. "Mae" Chandler of Ruston, Louisiana, Mrs. Walton Green of Ruston, Mrs. J. W. "Evelyn" Pipes of Ruston; five sons: Herbert Eugene Ambrose (born June 1, 1903 died January 27, 1977), R. A. Ambrose, L. R. Ambrose, J. E. Ambrose, and C. M. Ambrose, all of Choudrant, three sisters: Mrs. L. L. Meadaries, Mrs. Katie Brooks and Mrs. Della Walters, all of Monroe; one brother: R. S. Penuell of Ruston. ************
