BAKER Kilpatrick Funeral Home Ruston, LA CHOUDRANT, LA - Services for Davis M. Baker, 88, of Choudrant, LA will be held at 2 PM Friday, February 18, 2000 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Raymond Crofoot officiating, assisted by Dr. Douglas McGuire. Interment will be in Douglas Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mr. Baker died Wednesday, February 16, 2000 in Ruston, LA following a lengthy illness. Mr Baker was a very active member of Douglas United Methodist Church where he served all church offices and was a Sunday school teacher for over 50 years. He was retired from the Soil Conservation Service. His hobbies were gardening and fishing. Mr. Baker was preceded in death by one granddaughter Amy McGuire. Survivors include his wife of 64 years: Kathleen W. Baker; three sons: Larry Baker and wife, Mary of Choudrant, LA; Jerry Baker and wife, Frances of Ruston, LA; Steve Baker and wife, Judy of Choudrant, LA; one daughter: Dianne McGuire and husband, Samuel of Minden, LA; grandchildren: Donna Aaron, Debbie Simmons, Tori McKinney, Dana Baker, Chris Baker, Dusty Baker, Magan Baker, Jodi Baker, Kasey Baker, Anne-Marie Baker, Brad McGuire; nine great grandchildren; one sister: Myrtle Raley of Ruston, LA; two brothers: Fletcher Baker of Ruston, LA; and Leon Baker of Calhoun, LA. Active pallbearers will be grandsons.
