Officiating will be Rev. Jim Moore and Dr. Alvin F. Barr. Burial will be in Choudrant Cemetery under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home. Mr. Barr died Monday, March 6, 2000, in Mobile, Ala., after a lengthy illness. Mr. Barr was born November 29, 1913, in Vernon. He was a long- time resident and storeowner of Vernon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Norsworthy Barr. He is survived by his son, Dr. Alvin F.Barr of Colleyville, Texas; one daughter, Dottie Moore of Grand Bay, Ala.; one brother, Morelle Barr of Ruston; six grand-children, Eric Moore of Clanton, Ala., Kay McGill of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Mary Ramerez of Grapevine, Texas, Deborah Graham of Ft. Worth, Texas, Joseph Barr of Colleyville, Texas and Joshua Barr of Colleyville, Texas; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from noon until 1 p.m. Saturday at the fu-neral home.
