BAXTER CHOUDRANT, LA - Services for Vivian F. Baxter, age 88, of Choudrant, LA, will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 3, 2001 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Whitman assisted by Rev. Tim Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Choudrant Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mrs. Baxter died Monday, January 1, 2001 in Ruston, LA following a brief illness. Mrs. Baxter was the English teacher and Librarian of Choudrant High School for 35 years. She was chosen to be a Supervisory Teacher and was a member of Louisiana Teacher Association. She was a life long member of the First Baptist Church of Choudrant, a graduate of Choudrant High School and of Louisiana Tech University and a former student of Southwestern Seminary. Survivors include her husband of 60 years: Clyde Baxter of Choudrant; nieces: Gloria Ann Maddry of Homer, Marilyn F. Landry and husband Ron of Monroe; and nephew: William B. Farmer of Pascagoula, MS. Pallbearers will be former students. Family received friends from 4:30 PM until 6:30 PM Tuesday, January 2, 2001 at the funeral home.
