                  Mr. J. W.  "Willie" Bennett

Services for Mr. J. W. "Willie Bennett, 85, of Choudrant, will be
at 1 p.m. on March 18, 1993, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel,
with Bill Sanderson officiating.  Burial  will be in Pleasant Grove
Cemetery, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.

Mr. Bennett died on Tuesday, March 16, 1993, at Alpine Nursing Home
after a lengthy illness.

He was a board member of Community Trust Bank.

Survivors include: one granddaughter, Sheila Cone Gilmore of
Stafford VA; two grandsons, Patrick Cone of Choudrant and Dr.
Michael J. Cone of Shreveport; one son-in-law, Robert L. Cone of
Quitman; two brothers, Red Bennett of Detroit, Michigan, and Sims
Bennett of West Monroe; one sister, Thorice Angel of Detroit,
Michigan; six great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be: Keith Hammons, Bud Morrison, Red Sanderson,
Dayton Doughty, Morton Parnell, Bobby Brister.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until time of service on Thursday

Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
