The Shreveport Times - Saturday, November 1, 1969 JOHN L. BODDIE RUSTON - Funeral services for John L. Boddie, 77 of Ruston, who died Friday Afternoon (October 31, 1969) after a lengthy illness, will be held today at 3:30 p.m. in the Douglas Methodist Church with the Rev. Roy Grant officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mr. Boddie, a native of Lincoln Parish, was a retired farmer and a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife; five sons, Lonnie Boddie of West Monroe; James and Duncan Boddie both of Bastrop; Bill and Wills Boddie both of Ruston; three daughters Mrs. Lucille Collins and Mrs. Fred Roe both of Shreveport; and Mrs. Emma Tyndall of Dallas, Texas; one brother Eugene Boddie of Ruston; two sisters Mrs. Henretta Owens of Jonesboro; and Mrs. Belle Hammett of DeRidder, La.; 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. ************
