                           Ruston, LA

CALHOUN, LA - Services for Mary Parnell Boyd, 90, of Calhoun, LA will
be held at 10 AM Wednesday, January 5, 2000 at Alabama Presbyterian
Church in Choudrant, LA with Rev.  Fred Thrower and Dr. Earl Wiggins
officiating.  Interment will be in Alabama Presbyterian Cemetery in
Choudrant, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of
Ruston.

 Mrs. Boyd died January 3, 2000 in Ouachita Parish following a
lengthy illness.

 Mrs. Boyd was a member of Alabama Presbyterian Church and Eastern
Star.

Survivors are son: Marshall D. Boyd, Jr. and wife, Cosette of
Calhoun, LA; grandchildren: Marshall Brent Boyd and wife, Julie of
Calhoun, LA; James Adam Boyd and wife, Dana of Gainesville, FL;
Carol Rebekah Boyd Hardin and husband, Keith; great grandchildren
James Adam Boyd, Jr., Hunter Aaron Boyd, Luke Patrick Boyd, and
Keith Hardin II; sister Mildred Spurlock and husband, Thad of
Choudrant, LA., brother Rev. Stanford Parnell of Ruston, LA; and
one sister-in-law: Alice Parnell; five nieces and four nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 PM until 8 PM at the funeral home.
