     HERSHAL "PUGGY" BROUGHTON

DUBACH, LOUISIANA - Hershal G. "Puggy" Broughton, 55, died Thursday, June 14,
1984 at Veterans Administration Hospital in Shreveport after a long illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Rustton with
the Rev. R. C. Sparks officiating.

Burial will be in the Fellowship Cemetery in Dubach.]

Mr. Broughton was a native and lifelong resident of Dubach. He was a retired
welder. He was a member of the Baptist Church and Disabled American Veterans.

Survivors include his mother: Mrs. Charlie "Allie" Broughton of Dubach; two
brothers: Carlos Broughton of Houston, Texas, and Jimmy D. Broughton of
Columbia, Mississippi, two sisters: Mrs. Vera McCurry of West Monroe,
Louisiana; and Mrs. Thomas "Patsy" Colvin of Lafayette, Louisiana; and several
nieces and nephews.
