Officiating was Dr. Wilton Wall, assisted by Rev. Jessie Smith. Interment was in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Simsboro under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mrs. Canterbury died SeptemPer 21, 1999, in Arcadia after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Canterbury was a member of Simsboro First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd C. "Tuck" Canterbury. Survivors include two sons, Eddie Harris Canterbury & wife, Linda of Effie, and David Wayne Canterbury & wife, Becky of The Woodlands, Texas; one daughter, Donna Gail Canterbury White & husband, Jerry of Simsboro; grandchildren, Forrest Canterbury, Jonathan Canterbury, Bradley Canterbury, Jenna Petrick,Joshua White and Amanda White; three great grandchildren; a special cousin, Bonnie Mercer; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Joshua VVhite, Forrest Canterbury, Mike Canter- bury, BarryCanterbury, Ray Canterbury, Jack Canterbury, Jonathan Canterbury and Pat Mercer. Memorials may be made to the Simsboro First Baptist Church.
