The Shreveport Journal Newspaper Shreveport, LA Tuesday, October 13, 1936 "Emmett J. Causey dies here Tuesday; Funeral Wednesday" Funeral services for Emmett J. Causey, 40, of 1627 Park Avenue, who died at a local sanitarium Tuesday morning after a long illness, will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Roseneath funeral home, with the Rev. A. C. Lawton, pastor of the Cedar Grove Methodist Church, officiating. Internment will be in the Walnut Creek cemetery near Simsboro, La. The deceased is survived by his widow, one son, Emmett J. Causey; five brothers, M. C. Causey of Bossier City, S. E. , Herman A. and Harris Causey, all of Shreveport; one sister, Mrs. B. T. Posey, Shreveport. Mr. Causey had been a resident of Shreveport for 17 years. He was a shoemaker by trade. Submitter's Note: Numerous typos in this obituary. Emmett J.
