The Shreveport Journal Shreveport, LA Friday, June 29, 1956 "S. E. Causey Sr., Retired Salesman, Dies Here Friday" Sherwood Edgar Causey Sr., of 2720 James St., a retired salesman, died at 5:10 a.m. Friday in a local hospital after a long illness. He was 70. A native of Lincoln Parish, he was a resident of Shreveport for 40 years and had been a salesman for Standard Oil Co. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Ada Causey of Shreveport; three sons, R. P. Causey, Sherwood E. Causey, Jr. and Louie Causey of Shreveport; three daughters, Mrs. Ernest Roberts of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Ray Shelton of Bossier City and Mrs. Jeanette Walker of Grove, Okla., 12 grandchildren and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Hurricane Presbyterian Church near Arcadia in the Hurricane Community. Interment will be in Hurricane Cemetery. The body will remain at the Rose-Neath Funeral Chapel until noon Saturday.
