A. Clay is Buried Sunday AT Downsville; Death Claims Wife of Local Man Was Life Long Lincoln Parish Resident The Remains of Mrs. J. A. Clay, wife of Dr. J. A. Clay, were carried to Dowsville Sunday afternoon for interment in the Downsville cemetery following funeral services which were conducted there by Reverend J. C. Baker of Arcadia. Mrs. Clay was born in Lincoln Parish and had lived here throughout here life. She had reached the age of 74 and was in good health until the final illness which came to her several days ago. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist church in which she was a faithful member practically all her life. Surviving the deceased besides her husband are the following children: Dr. S. R. Clay of Ruston, Ollie Clay of Ruston. Dr. J A. Clay Jr. Durant, Oklahoma: Mrs. Annie Stockey of Marshall, Texas, and Mrs. Julie Crawford of Downsville.
