Colvin Services for Arther Balfour "A.B." Colvin, 82, of Dubach, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 20, 2000, in the Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Barry Joyner assisted by Rev. Randy Lee. Interment will be in Hamilton Cemetery, Dubach, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mr. Colvin died Monday, July 17, 2000, in Ruston after a brief illness. He served in the U. S. Army and was a Veteran of WWII, serving in the European Theater. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Crosby "Bob" Colvin and mother, Ora Mae Colvin. Survivors Include his wife, Jenell Carter Colvin of Dubach; two sons, Lloyd D. Colvin and wife Vicki of Ruston, and Stanley A. Colvin and wife Trudy of Cypress, Texas; three daughters, Barbra Barmore and husband Prentis of Dubach, Randy Deason and husband "Spud" of Dubach, and Wanda K. Matlock and husband Jay of Ariz., grandchildren, David L. Barmore, Angie Walker, Sabrina Deason, Marshal Deason, Marcus Colvin, Matthew Colvin and James A. Matlock. great grandchildren, Shana Freeman, Lee Walker, James Walker, Ashile Barmore, Stacie Barmore, Rebecca Barmore, Bradley Dean Colvin and Scott Colvin; two brothers: Baker Colvin and wife Ethelle of Spearsville, and Bobby G. Colvin and wife Lillie Vee of Dubach; and one sister, Irma House of Winnfield. Pallbearers will be Bob Tippet, Haskel Boyd, George Green, Bill Pendergrass, Seth Tatum, and Henry Watts. Honorary pallbearer will be Roy Colvin. Family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2000 at the funeral home.
