Barry Joiner officiating. Burial will be Unionville Cemetery in Dubach under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mrs. Colvin died December 24, 1999 in Arcadia following a brief illness. She was a lifelong resident of Dubach. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Dubacb. In Miss Homie's early adult life, she was an elementary school teacher. The rest of her life was a teaching experience in Christian love and example to her family, neighbors, Sunday School classes and friends. Survivors include six children, Clarice S. Bass, Yvonne and Kent Colvin, Sarah Jean and Bill Hughes, Lamar and Dot Colvin, Charlie Green and Sarah Colvin, and Ida and Don Sampson; one half-sister, Lorrain Harris and husband, Kenneth; 11 grandchildren; 17 great- grandchildren; and two great-great children.
