FAIRY L. TOMLINSON COOK RUSTON - Mrs. Fairy L. Tomlinson Cook, a longtime resident of Ruston, LA died Tuesday, June 9, 1987 at Magee General Hospital in Magee, Mississippi following a short illness. She was born April 1, 1899 in Lincoln Parish. Mrs. Cook is preceded in death by her infant son, Carroll Wesley Cook born July 9, 1920, died November 24, 1921; her husband Daniel Bee Cook born April 11, 1894 died April 8, 1970; and her sons: Reverend Harold Elmo Cook born September 7, 1920 died 1980, and David B. Cook born April 26, 1926 died 1986. Survivors include her daughters: Mrs. Glenn (Frances Irene) Brown of Ruston, Mrs. Charles (Virginia Marie) Pruitt, Jr. and Mrs. John (Fairy Kathrine) Magee, both of Magee, Mississippi; fifteen grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are being conducted by Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston with services at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 1987 with Rev. Kenneth Murray and Rev. Paul Grundy officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Ruston. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jerry Cook, Carroll Cook, Darrell Cook, David Cook, Dr. Charles Pruitt III, Lex Davis and James Roach. In Lieu flowers donations may be made to the church of Nazarene Building Fund in Ruston, La.
