                      Joel (Jody) L. Cook

Services for Joel (Jody) L. Cook, 42, of Downsville will be held Thursday,
November 4, 1999, at 2 p.m.in the Calvary Baptist Church with Pev. David
Hastings officiating.

Interment will be in Holmesville Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick
Funeral Home of Ruston.

Mr. Cook died Monday, November 1, 1999, in Ouachita Parish following an auto
accident.

Mr. Cook was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.  He was a hard worker and
loved his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe L. Cook.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Cook of Downsville; a son, Josh Cook of
Downsville; his mother, Joan Cook of Haynesville; two brothers, Dennis Cook Of
Lufkin, Texas and Steve Cook of Haynesville; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Earl Roberts, Van Johnston, Wayne Newsom, Larry Moore, Rex
King and Herbert Taylor.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rusty Welch, Andy Clark, Jerry Houston, Eric
Dindy, Mike Howington, Bo Lowry, Eric Luttrell, John Michael Morgan, Eric
Spencer, Chris Day, Kevin Cope and Pete Reno.

Memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church.

Family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 3,1999, at
the funeral home.
