W. COOK RUSTON, LA - Services for Mr. J. W. Cook, 76, of Ruston will be at 2 p.m. Monday, February 3, 1992 at Cook Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Ruston. Mr. Cook died Saturday, February 1, 1992 at Lincoln General Hospital from a lengthy illness. Mr. Cook was a member of Cook Baptist Church. He was a retired contractor, a past Police Jury Member, mason, rancher, and a member of the Farm Bureau. Survivors include his wife, Martille Copeland Cook of Ruston; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert "Sonny" and Lynda Cook of Ruston; four daughters, Nancy Frye and Beth Cook of Dallas, Texas; Pixie Curry of Ruston; and Ruth Anne and Dr. William Johnson Jr. of Coburn, Virginia, two sisters, Lori Delony of Ruston and Jimmie Lee Hills of Fort Worth, Texas, fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be George Gillium, Almer Rainwater, Mike Coyle, Don Cochran, Ronald Taylor and Dennis Bell. Visitation will be Sunday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. till noon at Owens Memorial Chapel.
