Cruse Services for Bertha D. Cruse, 95, of Ruston, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, September 20,1999, at the Temple Baptist Church Chapel. Officiating will be Dr. B. Gray Allison. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mrs. Cruse died Friday, Sept. 17, 1999, at her daughter's home in Tennessee following a brief illness. Mrs. Cruse was a member of Temple Baptist Church for more than 72 years and served as a Sunday School teacher for more than 50 years. She and her husband, D. M. Cruse, served Ruston in several businesses through the years. Her father, George Curtis Odom, was a Baptist minister in north Louisiana. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Voncille Cruse and B. Gray Allison of Memphis, Tenn.; two sisters, Audie Roberson of Houston and Faye Ellis of Fordyce, Ark.; three grandchildren, Suzanne Grigsby of Memphis; Charlotte Miller of Little Rock, Ark.; and Gray M. Allison of Memphis; seven great-grandchildren and one great-greatgranddaughter. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Pallbearers will be Larry Jarrell, Randy Moore, Charles Hoffman, Ray Miller, Bob McLeane and Dwight Anderson.
