Davis: Funeral services were held here Friday morning for Lazarre Davis, victim of the wreck on the Monroe Highway at Choudrant Thursday Afternoon in which tow automobiles were damaged and the front of a store there torn off. Davis died at the Ruston-Lincoln Sanitarium here at 6:15 Thursday evening and was taken to the B. F. McClure Funeral Parlor from which funeral services were conducted the following day. The Rev. R. W. Vaught conducted the rites. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemeter. Close friends and relatives attended the funeral. He is survived by his wife, of Choudrant, and four daughters, all of Shreveport. W. E. McBride, district attorney, stated Monday morning that bond had been made by those held in connection with the accident and unless a preliminary hearing was requested, the case would be heard by the March term of the grand jury here.
