C. Davis, 35, both of Haynesville, were fatally injured last night about 9 o’clock when the automobile in which the two had started on a fishing trip left the highway on a curve and plunged into Hall Creek. Several other cars, en route to the same lake had preceded them, they being the last in line, causing the accident to go undiscovered for sometime. Davis, who was driving, was instantly killed, but Bond, who was still alive when found by passerby, was removed to Haynesville sanitarium where he died at 7 o’clock this morning. The automobile which overturned down the embankment was stopped when it hit the opposite bank of the small stream and when discovered was standing straight up in five feet of water with the lights still burning. Both of the dead men were married and were employed by the O. J. Mallet Company of Haynesville.
