Services will be held a 2 p.m. today at the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston with the Rev. Larry Miller officiating. Burial will be in Simsboro Cemetery under direction of the funeral home. A retired beautician, Defreese was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Burgessville Homemakers Club, and the United Methodist Womens Club. She was also a Pink Lady at Lincoln General Hospital. Survivors include her widower, Leroy Defreese of Ruston, one son, (Living) Defreese of Franklin; one sister, (Living) Andrews of Pineville; two brothers, Haskell Rasbury of Ruston and Noel Rasbury of Carthage; two grandchildren and several neices and nephews.
