Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Pineville. Mr. Deville, 73, of Deville died at 2:22 p.m., Saturday,January 8, 2000, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. Mr. Deville was a 4O year employee of South Central Bell Telephone, Co. having worked in various management positions. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a member and past governor of the Kiwanis Club, a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Deville, and had also worked as a cattle rancher. Survivors include his wife, Sherry N. Deville of Deville, two sons: Michael D. Deville of Lafayette and Paul D. Deville of Deville; one daughter: one daughter, Nelwyn D. Zito of Baton Rouge, one stepson, Shawn Nolan Daze' of Deville; one stepdaughter, Hallie Daze' Tassin of Pineville; one brother, Thomas Deville of Duson; two sisters, Nadine Ryder and Bernadette Normand, both of Deville; seven grandchildren and three step-grandchildren. A Christian Wake service was held at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Pineville at 7 p.m., Monday, January 10, 2000.
