Clem Drewett Graveside funeral services for J. Clem Drewett, 45, of Lake Charles were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 11, 1980, at Greenwood Cemetery in Ruston with Reverend Dan Day officiating. Services were held earlier in Lake Charles at the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Drewett died Friday in a Lake Charles hospital after a sudden illness. He was a native of Ruston, the son of the late Colvin Drewett who was a well-known Winnfield native, and senior partner of a three-member firm of attornerys in Lake Charles. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Rose Mary Drewett of Lake Charles; three sons, John, Jeff and Patton Drewett, all of Lake Charles; his mother, Mrs. Pauline Drewett of Ruston, one brother Jerry Drewett with La. Tech University in Ruston, and his aunt, Mrs. Pauline Drewett LaCroix of Winnfield. Attending the graveside funeral service in Ruston Sunday for J. Clem Drewett of Lake Charles were the following Winnfield people: Mrs. W. E. (Pauline) LaCroix, Mrs. Ruth Dean Drewett, Miss Jessie Clyde Perdue, Mrs. Tommy Bankston and Susan Bankston, and Mr. and Mrs. James Mallard. They were joined by Lynn Bankston of Louisiana Tech University.
