All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** The Ruston Daily Leader, Thursday, November 25, 1999 Margaret Allena (Madge) Nibling Duncan Funeral services for Margaret Allena (Madge) Nibling Duncan of Temple, Texas were held Wednesday, November 17,1999, at 10 a.m. at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home, 500 Barton, with Rev. Andy Andrews officiating. She died early Monday, November 15, 1999 at a local nursing home. She was 84. Mrs. Duncan was born September 1, 1915, at Moffit to Albert Leslie and Arminta Ellen Crimes Nibling. She married the Rev John Bell Duncan on October 25, 1938 at Cedar Creek Methodist Church. Following his retirement as an Army chaplain and Methodist min- ister, thev returned to Bell County to live in 1972. He preceded her in death on March 15, 1995. Mrs. Duncan is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Frederick Richardson (Marcia) of Ruston; a son, John Leslie Duncan of Smyrna, Ga.; three sisters: Annelle Pittman of Hurst, Texas, Ruth Brooker of Temple, and Lou Edna Speed of Conway, Ark; one brother, Fred L. Nibling, Sr. of Temple; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren, four nieces and five nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Albert Lewis Nibling and William A. Nibling. The family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to Oak Park Methodist Church Building Fund, Box 4044, Temple, Texas 76505.
