Interment will be in PineGrove Cemetery in Bernice under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Bernice. Mrs. Farrar died November 2, 1999, in Bernice after a lengthy illness, She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bernice. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennett Farrar. Survivors include one son, Horace Farrar and wife Joan of Parachute, Colo.; two daughters, Marcia Lee and husband Robert of Deer Park, Texas, and Julia Feazell and husband Fred of Shreveport; three brothers, Harry Grafton of El Paso, Texas; Troy Grafton of Bernice; and Travis Grafton of Cochran, Ga; two sisters, Alline Owens and Ineta Foster, both of Bernice; six grandsons; Greg Farrar of Ruidoso, N.M.; David Farrar of Parachute, Colo.; Mark Kidwell of Houston, Texas; Jeff Poole of Bienville; Brian Poole of LaPorte, Texas; and Chris Feazell of Shreveport; three granddaughters, Sallie Brewster of Choudrant; Laura Hilborn of La Porte, Texas; and Jennifer Feazel of Shreveport. Numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearer is special nephew Benny Grafton. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5,1999, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Bernice. Malda (Mam-Maw Malda) was truly the matriarch of her family - not by her choosing - but by the life she lived before them.
