Brenton Franklin, 33 of Ruston died in New Orleans hospitla about 2:15 o'clock Wed. morning following a prolonged illness. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon, Dec.3, at 2 o'clock at the Mineral Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. J. C. McCarm, Choudrant pastor, officiating. Burial under the direction of the Kilpatrick Funeral home of Ruston, will be i the Mineral Springs Baptist Cem. Mr. Franklin was a native of Ruston and had lived in Lincoln Parish all of his life time. He was well known in the surrounding area. He was a native of WW II and attended school in Mineral Springs and Ruston. He is survived by is wife, the former Myrtis Duke of Vienna, his mother, Mrs. R. W. Franklin of Vienna, three sisters Mrs. Ester Otwell of Ruston, Mrs. Thomas Duke of Vienna and Mrs. Dallas McFearin, four brothes, William Franklin of Vienna, Roy Franklin of Shreveport, Elmo Franklin of Ruston and Robert Franklin of Ruston.
