Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mrs. Hammon died Saturday, March 18, 2000 in Shreveport, LA following a brief illness. Mrs. Hammon was a resident of Ruston for the past 50 years. She was a retired beautician and receptionist for the city of Ruston. Mrs. Hammon was a charter member of Grace United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Byron Eugene Hammon. Survivors include her sons: Donald Gene Hammon and wife Maria of Ruston, LA, Gary Mi-chael Hammon and wife Pat of Redmond, WA; daughter: Chere Hammon Pickett and husband William of West Monroe; broth-er: Benny R. Weaver of Jones-boro, LA; sisters: Eunice Gard-ner of Bossier City, LA and Bobbie Almond of Silsbee, TX; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Fred Gard-ner, Jason Hamblin, David Hammon, Rodney Weaver, Ed-die Weaver, Doug Almond and Danny Almond. The Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, March 20, 2000 at the funeral home.
