Officiating will be Dr. Larry Grubbs. Services are under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mr. Hannibal passed away May 27, 2000, in Ruston, after a brief illness. Mr. Hannibal served in the U. S. Army from 1960 - 1963 as a Radio Analyst at Herzo Base, Germany. He graduated from Louisiana Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting in 1970. He retired from Exxon Corporation and returned to Ruston in 1986. He was in the import and real estate business. He enjoyed traveling and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Ursula Hannibal of Nurnberg, Germany; one son, Kent Hannibal and wife Roberta of Irving, Calif.; two daughters, Carolyn Grossman and husband Humes of Ruston, and Christine Thames and husband Stephen of Wagoner, Okla.; three brothers, Oscar Hannibal of Ruston, Bobby Hannibal of Foreman, Ark., and Mark Hannibal of Texarkana, Ark.; three sisters, Dottie Reynolds of Hawkins, Texas, Linda Azzara of Brussels, Belgium and Ruth Hindershot of Atlanta, Texas; three grandchildren, Claire Hannibal of Irving, Calif., Annabelle Grossman of Ruston, and Christopher Thames of Wagoner, Okla. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Louisiana Tech University's College of Business and Administration or Hospice of Louisiana.
