All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** The Ruston Daily Leader - Monday, November 30, 1970 DRAYTON HINTON DIES Drayton Hinton of Wesley Chapel died at 9:45 a.m. Monday, November 30, 1970 in Lincoln General Hospital after an extended illness. He was a retired dairyman and school bus driver. One of his sons, Dr. Joe Hinton, serves on the Ruston City Council and he also is an associate professor of education at Louisiana Tech University. Mr. Hinton was born at Wesley Chapel and was a member of the Methodist Church there. He also was a member or the W.O.W. and was active in church organizations in the community. Other survivors include his wife, Mrs. Metta Moore Hinton of Wesley Chapel, two sons, Pat Hinton of Springhill and Tommy Hinton of North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; two sisters, Mrs. Alline Delony of Ruston, Mrs. Willie Kelly of Ruston and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Wesley Chapel Methodist Church with the Rev. W. O. Lynch officiating and assisted by Rev. Doug McGuire.
