HINTON BASTROP - Services for Edwin O. Hinton, 77, will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 1983 in Golden Funeral Home Chapel in Bastrop with Reverends Jerry Chapman and Leslie Farrar officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe. Mr. Hinton died Friday, May 6, 1983 at his residence after a long illness. Mr. Hinton was a native of Vienna, Louisiana; a former resident of Monroe and had lived in Morehouse Parish for 12 years. He was also a retired Cities Service Employee and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife: Mrs. Alice Hinton of Bastrop; a daughter: Mrs. Cameron McKinley of Prescott, Arizona; two stepdaughters: Mrs. Ken Cook and Mrs. Lester Braddock both of Bastrop; a stepson: Charles Spikes of Bastrop; two brothers: Aubrey E. Hinton of Monroe; and Otis W. Hinton of Bastrop; a cousin: Mrs. Ruth Erisman of Bastrop; and four grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Dr. Wilford Smith, George L. DeCuir, Jessie Roberts, Marvin Collins, L. D. Turner and Ralph Temple.
