"LEFTY" HINTON JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI - Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 1977 at Capital Street United Methodist Church here with the Rev. J. K. Stuart officiating for Lawrence P. "Lefty" Hinton, 59, of Jackson, Mississippi. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, Mississippi under the direction of Wright-Ferguson Funeral Home here. Mr. Hinton died Tuesday, March 2, 1977, at his residence in Jackson, Miss., after a brief illness. He was a member of the Capital Street United Methodist Church, a graduate of Louisiana Tech University, a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and American Institute of Mechanical Engineers, a veteran of World War II and an oil equipment company employee for the last 31 years. Survivors include his widow: Mrs. Linda Stallone Hinton of Jackson, Miss.; his mother: Mrs. Frank Hinton of Ruston; three daughters: Mrs. Ray Lynn Scales, Jr., Miss Mary Pat Hinton, and Miss Debra Hinton, all of Jackson, Miss.; three brothers: Don Hinton of Minden, LA., Berry Hinton of Ruston, LA., and Billy Hinton of Ruston, LA.; one sister: Mrs. Mattye LaGrone of Austin, Texas; one granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
