LEILA BERRY HINTON CLAY, LA. - Services for Leila Berry Hinton, 99, of Clay, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 7, 1985 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home with Dr. Merlin Merrill and the Rev. Troy Garrett officiating. Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery near Ruston. Mrs. Hinton died Sunday, August 4, 1985 at Longleaf Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. A native of Griffin, Georgia, Mrs. Hinton was a member of Clay Methodist Church. Survivors include three sons, Berry Hinton of Ruston, Don Hinton of Minden; and Billy Hinton of Clay; one daughter, Mattye H. LaGrone of Austin, Texas; one brother, Spurgeon J. Berry of Ruston; eleven grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren. Visitation will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday for family members and 5:30 p.m. for friends.
