MACK HINTON Died Wednesday, February 2, 1972 Mack Hinton, 88, farmer of Downsville, died at 9 a.m. Wednesday, February 2, 1972 at Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston following a short illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Alabama Presbyterian Church with Rev. H. P. Hosey officiating, assisted by Rev. J. W. Lipscomb. Burial will be in Sibley Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick's Funeral Home of Ruston. He was a native of Downsville. He was a member of the Alabama Presbyterian Church and a Deacon. Mr. Hinton was a member of the Downsville Masonic Lodge No. 143 F. & A.M. for 67 years. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Docia Hinton of Downsville; two sons, James V. Hinton of Ruston; and John M. Hinton, Jr. of Downsville; two daughters, Mrs. J. T. Bain of Ruston; and Mrs. O. A. McLemore of Maplewood; two brothers, W. T. Hinton and James P. Hinton, both of Downsville; nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
