	MISS HOOD, 10 SUCCUMBS, RITES SCHEDULED

Miss Melissa Jane Hood, 10, daughter of F. Malcolm Hood, Jr. of Monroe and 
Janet Garrett Hood of Monroe, died in an Alexandria Hospital Monday, October 
27, 1969.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Antioch Cemetery near 
Ruston under the direction of Spears Funeral Home. Services will be conducted 
by the Rev. Ed Parks.

Survivors include her parents, two sisters, Susan Marie and Amy E. Hood of 
Monroe; her paternal grandfather F. Malcolm Hood, Sr. of Simsboro, her 
maternal grandmother, Mrs. Helen K. Garrett of Monroe, her maternal 
grandfather, Jay Garrett Merrill of Haynesville, her maternal great 
grandparents Mr. & Mrs. C. A. Kimbell of Haynesville and Mrs. Jim Garrett 
of Haynesville.
