During her long fight with cancer she, received an enormous amount of love from her family and friends. Despite her illness, her last days were happy. Lois was the daughter of J. W. and Martiele Cook of Ruston and the sister of Nancy Frye and Beth Cook of Dallas, Ruth Ann Johnson of Corbin, West Virginia, Dixie Curry of Weatherford, Oklahoma, and Robert "Sonny" Cook of Ruston. She is survived by her husband Harry and three sons, Randy, Gordon and Matthew. Memorial services were on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in Franklin, Tenn. Among family and friends who came to mourn, share memories, see old friends and celebrate the life of a wonderful woman. Lois was buried beside her daughter Melissa and grandaughter,, Renee, who were tragically killed in an automobile accident in October of 1986. Her legacy is the inspiration she gave us and the joy she brought into the lives of those she touched. Her influence will be with us forever. In her memory we ask that you take a friend to lunch or dinner and tell him or her the things we often think of only after someone is gone. She brought us joy and we loved her well.
