Merlin Merrill and the Rev. Dewey Miles officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Ruston. Mr. Kavanaugh Monday morning, June 20, 1977 in Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston following a lengthy illness. A veteran of World War II, Mr. Kavanaugh was an employee of the Louisiana State Commerce and Industry Department. Survivors include two sons: Track Kavanaugh of Logansport and John Raymond Kavanaugh of Pineville; one daughter: Mrs. Linda Lou Kavanaugh of Gonzales; two brothers: Morton Kavanaugh of Ruston and Vardman Kavanaugh of Vicksburg, Mississippi; four sisters: Mrs. Lodie K. Brown Hood, Mrs. Kate Rockhold, Mrs. Elna Willis and Mrs. Linda Jean Rolf, all of Ruston. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
