Menefee Kelly
Died Friday

     BERNICE - The funeral of Menefee Kelly, 77, of Bernice was
held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Bernice First Baptist Church with the Rev. 
David Weeks officiating.
     Burial was in Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of
Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Bernice.
     Mr. Kelly died Friday in Tri-Ward Hospital after a brief
illness.
     He was a farmer, a Union Parish native and a member of First
Baptist Church.
     Survivors include his wife, Mrs. M. F. Kelly of Bernice; a
son, M. F. Kelly, Jr. of Millington, Tenn.; a daughter, Mrs,
Douglas Godfrey of Kilgore, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Caroll Farrar of
Bernice; a brother, Tom Kelly of Ruston; five grandchildren; two
great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
