All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** The Ruston Daily Leader, Tuesday, February 20, 2000 Odos Brooks Kelley Services for, Odos Brooks Kelley, 76, of Bernice, will be held at Pisgah Baptist Church on Wednesday, February 23, 2000, at 1 p.m. with Rev. A. W. Smart, Rev. M. F. Copeland and Rev. Michael Hawley officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Patrick Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville. Mr. 0. B. died Sunday, February 20, 2000, at Lincoln General Hospital following a lengthy battle with cancer. Mr. Kelley is preceded in death by his parents, Sercie Brooks Kelley and Artie Lillian McKnight Kelley; and also his brother, Leonard T. Kelley. He is survived by his wife, Inez Kelley of Bernice; one son, Paul Kelley of Bernice; one daughter, Linda Kelley Revels and husband John Revels of Ruston; one grandson, Joel Robertson of Seymour Johnson AFB, North Carolina; two brothers, Bobby Gene Kelley and wife Janette of Bernice and Herman Dean Kelley of Karnack, Texas. Mr. Kelley is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, along with countless friends. Odos Kelley, retired, served in World War II and returned disabled, receiving Purple Heart Honors. He served as a Deacon of Pisgah Baptist Church, a Little League Coach, a Cub Scout Leader, a Boy Scout Leader, a Volunteer for the Bernice Volunteer Fire Department, and many other things. Visitation will be held at Pisgah Baptist Church beginning at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2000. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Pisgah Baptist Church Building Fund.
