Ken Klemme officating. Interment will be in Prospect Cemetery in Clay under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mrs. Lamkin died Monday, December 13 in Ruston following a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Lamkin; one son, Pierce Lamkin; and one son-in-law, Carroll Barham. She was a member of Ansley Union Church and secretary treasurer of Prospect Church and Cemetery. She was a retired Postmaster for Clay and Ansley and also retired from Longleaf Nursing Home where she worked as a Certified Nurses Aide. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, McBride and Thelma Lamkin of Lexington, SC; and one daughter, Charlotte Lamkin Barham of Ruston. Pallbearers were Dwight Lamkin, Samuel Lamkin, James Lawrence Shawver, Karl Sisemore, Jason Mahfouz, Carl Atkins, Paul Walsworth, and Jimmy Newman. Honorary pallbearers were R. E. Crowe, Homer Sisemore, Harold Allen, and J. M. Lamkin.
