Bro. Gene Kirkley will be officiating. Burial will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery in Center. Mr. Lamkin died on Sunday, January 2, 1994 at Green Acres Nursing Home in Center. He was born on January 15, 1905 in Lincoln Parish to Columbus Whitfield Lamkin and Katie Carrie (Brown) Lamkin. He is survived by nine nieces, Sue Horton of Shreveport, Geraldine Mae Veatch of Grand Junction, CO, Ellen Chlotide Nelson of Ruston, Yvonne Goss of Ruston, Elaine Pesnell of Rayville, Kathryn Howell of Odessa, Texas, Marcia Eberenz of Center, Texas, Neva Partridge of League City, Texas and Faye Brown of Houston, Texas; seven nephews, Glen Grayson Grigsby of Ruston, Chester Grigsby of Shreveport, Kenneth Sanford of Longview, Texas, Olin McCurry of Hillsboro, Texas, Robert McCurry of Midland, Texas, Billy McCurry of LaPorte, Texas and Rayford Lamkin of Center, Texas.
